About Us
Our agency was established in 1932 when Peter Anderson Sr. began selling insurance policies from his home. He started selling part-time to friends and family, so that their home or business would be protected from fire damage. His venture eventually began to take off. In 1947, he decided to commit his efforts to the community full time.
Soon after, Peter Sr. took on some help. His son Peter Anderson Jr. joined what became Anderson Insurance Agency, thus starting a family business and tradition. Peter Jr. helped move the agency to downtown Eagle River, showing the community that the agency was here to serve the people. Through expansion into additional coverage, primarily life and health, he continued to climb, showing the community the agency's dedication to being number one.
In 1972, Peter "Tripp" Anderson III jumped into the agency with both feet.
Through his drive, he expanded the business greatly through all types of insurance including homeowners and automobile insurance. He moved the agency to it's present location, where he continues his work. In the process, he orchestrated the purchasing of four other insurance agencies. He currently strives to continue his expansion into the financial services area.
During his quest, he brought aboard his oldest son, Peter Anderson IV, in 1994. When Peter joined his father, his mission was to take the agency to the next level. Through expanding the business in commercial lines, he continued to acquire connections with the community. During this time, the staff at the agency grew extensively. In order to assure customer satisfaction, he has put greater focus on the business management. That's why he sought help from his younger brother.
To keep the family tradition alive, Michael joined the family-run agency in 2006. He focuses on maintaining the agency's small-town, personal feel, which has always been so important to the Anderson family throughout the years.

Tripp joined the family business in 1972. He now presides over the agency, taking care of mangerial tasks and helping to ensure the agency runs smooth and efficient. Tripp also keeps the agency technology up to date and the agents current with new knowledge.
Tripp and his wife, Judy, have three sons and 7 grandchildren. He enjoys spending his spare time fishing and watching the grandchildren participate in their activities.

Peter joined the agency in 1994. Along with being the producer of the agency's commercial lines, he is also head of customer service. He also helps keep the technology up to date.
Peter really enjoys helping others. Whether he is serving the community as a voluteer or assisting them with their insurance needs, he is always here to lend a hand.
Peter and his wife, Angie, have four children.
- Michael Anderson - Manager and Representative
Michael joined the family business in 2006. Along with Peter, he manages the office and sells all lines of insurance. His focus is to make sure each customer gets personal attention for their insurance needs.
Michael and his wife, Kathy, have two children. In 2006, they returned to the area from Vilseck, Germany, where Michael was a Captain in the U.S. Army Ordinance Corps. Just recently promoted to Major, he is currently on deployment in Afghanistan with the Army Reserves.
- Lisa Kohlman, CISR - Personal Lines - (Direct: 715/479-4316 Ext 213)
Lisa joined the agency in 2008. She obtained her Property and Casualty licenses in 2000. She went on and obtained her CISR designation in 2003. Lisa works with personal lines clients for home and auto insurance.
Outside of work Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons traveling, boating and attending sporting activities.

- Tom Marion - Sales Representative
Tom has been with us since 1984. He concentrates on the specialty market, such as go kart tracks and other hard to place risks, Tom prides himself as being a thorough agent, offering competetive insurance to all his clients.
Tom has raised five children in the area. He and his wife, Pam, live in St. Germain. He enjoys golfing and traveling to exotic golfing destinations.
- Jim Ciran - Sales Representative
Jim joined our sales team in 2006. He is a commercial lines producer for us.
He and his son Zach enjoy all outdoor activities together.
